She is affiliated with medical facilities Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital – Las Colinas. Her practice philosophy is to customize the care of each patient, particularly focusing on their specific needs, beliefs, and lifestyle. She believes in being a healthcare advocate so they may live their most authentic and fulfilling life by working alongside them.
Dr. Shahid received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts (1996) at Rosemont College graduating with honors. She then proceeded to earn a medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2001. Dr. Shahid then served as a Data Analyst for sleep studies in Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) patients at MCP Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she also completed her residency in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Shahid volunteers for the Hockaday School, Dallas United Crew (DCW), and various charities such as UNICEF, Booker T Washington, and Hopes Door just to name a few.
